01/05/2021 Call to Reason

Logistical issues prevented traveling to DC this week, but I have something to say to all humans within our boarders.  There is a sense that pressing positions are imperative in our society on both sides.  Some may be leaning toward forceful expressions in an effort to achieve specific purposes.  Let me be clear.

I had a friend once who was dealing with a situation in which she felt strongly enough to insist on her point in spite of the fact that there were two sides.  Both had merit.  Both were at fault some ways.  She refused to acknowledge the shortcomings of her position.  I informed her that if she felt 100% right, she was absolutely wrong in her expectations and approach to resolution.

As long as the views are human, there is a margin for error in the reason on both sides.  No one is 100% right.  Ever.  That is why Shakespeare said, “To ere is human.”  So, I feel that in our current situation as a nation that it is imperative that we exercise restraint and focus on national diplomacy.  Only with sincere effort and open dialogue can we reach a consensus and focus on repairs.  Human error dictates that we search for common ground and pursue a position that is in the greater good.

This is a land of freedom and equal representation under the laws we have laid out in an effort to maintain the peace.  The purpose should be respectable consideration of all points in a fully transparent way to reach a foundation for reconciliation.  The rule of law in light of inalienable human rights with respect to the virtues all Americans hold dear requires sensible discourse with respectful effort on all parts.  Everyone’s wellness and rights represented and considered..

I have never said anything political in a single Happy Tuesday message.  Today I say this.  I love this sovereign nation.  I, along with many others, would like to see peace maintained while specifically addressing the shortcomings we have as human beings with the rights of each human respected and considered.  The propensity toward human error calls for action.  True.  I strongly urge diplomacy with equality and justice as the filter and tone.  God bless and keep us all.  Be well, friends.  Kev loves ya.
