Grateful
Tonight I found myself with a head full of thoughts. Writing helps quiet my mind better than most things. I have Coconut Rum in the fridge, but tonight I’ll let these words soothe me. So, on a completely different note, I would like to tell you, dear reader, about something for which I am very grateful. In 2017 I wrote a song called Take 2. Here are a few lines…
So, I rise
So, I rise
I rise grateful
Grateful for the star we spin and hurl around
For the earth, the life that springs from the ground
For habitable solar system zones
A place to call home
Many people never give a thought to the astronomical precision required (distance from the solar system’s star, size of planet for gravity, and elemental composition of terra and atmosphere to sustain growth). The statistical probability of this occurring is mind bogglingly small, even in a usiverse as big as ours and 14 billion years old. Seriously, not likely. But we have a comfortably habitable solar system zone. We sit just right to grow stuff. Grass, oceans, people, mountains… A pretty sweet spot. So I’m grateful for our habitable solar system zone, my home. Where all my amazing humans live. Poetry in motion.Good night, friends. Kev loves ya
